Open Meeting
The annual open meeting of the
Century Club will be held at the
home of Mrs. C. M. Bailey on Tues
day aftenpon, May 6 at 4 o’clock.

Desgins and Rules
For the April meeting members
of the Gardenettes heard an inter
esting discussion by Mrs. R. L.
Plaxico, Jr., on “Basic Designs and
Rules For Flower Arranging.’’
The meeting was held Monday
afternoon at the home of Mrs. Mil
ford Smith with Mrs. j. D. Terry as
co-hostess. Following the program
and business session the hostesses
served cold drinks, sandwiches and
sweets.

The Sunbonnet Garden Club met
Monday afternoon at the home of
Mrs. F. V. Smith on Elm Street
with Mrs. George Bellingrath and
Mrs. Van Jones, hostesses.
The president, Mrs. Jones, an
nounced that Mrs. George Bellin
grath gave a summary of the club's
activities at the joint meeting of
the clubs in March.
The program was led by Mrs. T.
R. Giles who introduced W. R. Hes-
ner of the Ortho Company, who
showed an interesting movie on the
care of roses. Following the movie
he described the various treatments
and insecticides to use in the care
of roses.
During the social hour the hos
tesses served dainty refreshments.
