Jenkins family Christmas reunion
at the home, of her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. J. G. Jenkins in Gaffney
on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Cooper and
sons are spending the holidays with
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. B.
Cooper and Mrs. George Wade in
Great Falls.
Mir. and Mrs. H. N. Hughey and
family visited his mother, Mrs. S.
H. Hughey, ami other relatives in
Spartnaburg Sunday.
Mr, and Mrs. Lindy Barlowe and
daughters are spending the Christ
mas holidays with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Virgil Reid in Dallas, Ga.
Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Harper and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Spa-
rino of Greenwood, will spend
Christmas Day with Mrs. Harper’s

ning, Ga., is spending Christmas
with Mrs. Cannon and other rela
tives.
Watch Night Service
A Watch Night service will be
held Tuesday night, December SI,
at the Lydia Baptist Church begin
ning at 8 o’clock. Everyone is in
vited to come and enjoy the time
together to welcome in the New.
Year.
There will be games, films, re
freshments and an inspirational pe
riod ending at the midnight hour.
Waman’s Club Meeting
The Lydia Woman’s Club met on
Monday evening, Dec. 16, in U^e
beautifully decorated community
building for .their regular monthly
meeting with Mrs. Horace Smith
presiding. ...
The devotional was brought by
Mrs. David Word.
During the business session the
1958 officers were elected and in
stalled.

Secret Pal Club Party .
Tuesday evening the Secret. Pal
Club of Weave Room No. 2 held
their Christmas party at the home
of Mrs. Sarah Jenkins.
The receiving rooms were lovely
in their Christmas dress with a
beautiful lighted Christmas tree in
the window. . .
Games were led by Mrs. Frances
Meeks and Mrs. Jenkins.
The hostess and assistant hostess,
Mrs. Jenkins and Mrs. Vivian Maye
served a Christmas salad plate with
cookies, Candy and coffee and punch.
Gifts revealing the Secret Pals
were given out from the tree.
Secret Pals were drawn again for
1958. '
Mrs. J. H. Crowe and Mrs. Mat-
tie Harvey also assisted with the
party.

The Young Woman’s Auxilnary of
the Lydia Baptist Church enjoyed
a Christmas party Tuesday evening
at the community building.
’ The rooms were beautiful in the
Christmas motif.
Games were enjoyed by the group
after which party refreshments
were served.
