Miss Shirley Dunaway, student at Winthrop College Rock Hill, is spending the Thanksgiving holidays with her mother, Mrs. Ed Duna way. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Elledge and family enjoyed a birthday dinner recently at the home of the for mer’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Elledge in Cross Hill. His mother was celebrating her 54th birthday. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Elledge. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Arnold and Mrs. Clyde Few of Jacksonville, Fla., spent the weekend with rela tives. They also visited their fath er, Furman Davis, who is a patient in a Columbia hospital. Dan Dunaway and Linda, Mrs. “Charles Dunaway and Sandy were visitors in Greenville Saturday. Mr. and Mrs.*Richard Wallenzine and Smokey of North Augusta, vis ited Mr. and Mrs. Claude Walenzine " over the week-end. J. T. Bolt of near Laurens, was a dinner gue^t of Mr. and Mrs. mill here. Mr. Prather and Miss Faye Burgess of Les Angelea, Tex as, were married August 15. Mrs. Cecil Walker- and -Wanda of Laurens, visited Mr. and Mrs. enjoyed a skating party with hot dogs recently. Seventeen members attended. Birthday Party Given Mrs. Joe Bums honored her daughter, Jan, with a birthday party a ttheir home on Bailey street Saturday. Games were enjoyed by a number of friends. Refreshments were served bjr the hostess. Jan received many lovely and useful gifts. Robert Cannon Sunday. Harold Hughes of Savannah, Ga., was an overnight guest Tuesday of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hughes. Dewey Brazill of the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, N. Mrs. Dessie Douglas is ill* at her home. Dad Arnold-is ill at his home Mrs. Summers ; Mrs. Nannie R. Summers, E8, wi dow of Edward Summers, died Thursday afternoon at Blalock clin ic following several months of de clining health. She was a native of Laurens County, living here for the past five years, and a daughter of the late Henry and Clara Taylor Camp bell. She was a member of the Buffalo Baptist Church in Union county . .
