Elledge in Cross Hill. His mother
was celebrating her 54th birthday.
They also visited Mr. and Mrs. L.

Fla., spent the weekend with rela
tives. They also visited their fath
er, Furman Davis, who is a patient
in a Columbia hospital.

Notice ia hereby given tnat Town Taxes for the
Town of Clinton are due and collectable from October
15th to December 31st for the year 1957. The tax books
are now open at the office of the.Town Clerk and Treas
urer and will remain open up to and through Decem-
* ber 31. * ' , , *
A penalty of ten per cent (10^) shall be added if
said taxes are not paid on or before January 1, 1958.
The levy for current fiscal year is 53 mills; 26 mills
for current operating expenses, and 27 mills for interest
and sinking funds on various bond issues outstanding.

Thursday afternoon at Blalock clin
ic following several months of de
clining health.
She was a native of Laurens
County, living here for the past
five years, and a daughter of the
late Henry and Clara Taylor Camp
bell. She was a member of the
Buffalo Baptist Church in Union
county .

Funeral services were conducted
Sunday afternoon at Calvary Bap

Church cemetery near Buffalo.
