Miss Eloise Marshall, student at Sweetbriar College, Sweet- briar, Va., is with her mother, Mrs. W. L. Marshall, Jr., and grandmother, Mrs. C. M. Bailey, for the Christmas season. Also here during the holidays will be •Brewer Dixon, Sr.-, of Talladega, Ala., and son, Kelly a student at Harvard Medical College, Cam bridge, Mass. * Miss Myrtle Chandler, of the De la Howe School faculty, Mc Cormick, was the week-end guest of Miss Thelma Wells and sisters. Mrs. Marshall Danter and daughters, Marsha Anne and Me linda Ellen, of Fort Benning, Co lumbus,. Ga., are visiting her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank F. Fow ler. Capt. Lanter will join the family Saturday to spend the holidays here. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Childress and daughter, of Pendleton, will come today for the holiday sea son with the latter’s parents, Mr. • and Mrs. S. C. Chaney. Friends of Miss Barbara Mi lam, daughter of Mr. nad Mrs. W. C. Milam, will be interested to. know she has completed a business course in Greenville and accepted a position there. Petty Officer Donald Haselden, who is stationed aboard the Franklin D. Roosevelt, out 6f Norfolk, Va., is spending a leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Haseldenr He reports back to Norfolk, on Jaunray 3. Miss Margaret Harris, member of the Mercer college faculty, Ma con, Ga., is at home with her par ents, Dr. and Mrs. John Harris, for the holidays. Mrs. Howard Smith spent Sun day in Mullins with her mother, Mrs. Frances McGowan. Miss Dorothy Clark, * of San Francisco, Calif., is on a ten-day , visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Clark. Ed and Tom Pitts, students at the University of South Caro lina, Columbia, were at home with their mother, Mrs. P. M. Pitts, for the weekend. The for mer had as his guests Kirk Phares, Paul O’Cain, Ernie Hux and Donald Wesolowski. E. E. Blakely has returned to Washington, D. C, after spending a few days with relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Hiller, of Saudi Arabia, who have been on an extensive tour of Asiatic coun tries, the western states and Mex ico^ arrived here this week to spend the holiday season with her mother, Mrs. R. M. League, and other relatives.* Mr. and Mrs. aul League and children, of Sen eca, will join other members of the family here during Christ mas. Mrs. M. Cassanova spent the weekend with relatives in Colum bia. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. James Jacks and children were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Cassanova and accompanied her home. Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Wilder and daughter, of McCormick, spent the weekend with the former’s mother, Mrs. J. B. Wilder. Miss Kate Milam, Mrs.'. B. B. Ballard, and son, Billy, left yes terday for New Jersey. They were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mac Ballard in Charlotte, and will fly from there today to Ridgewood, N. J., to spend a week with their brother and sister-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Milam. Mrs. Wiley Monk, of Moultrie, Ga., is spending some time with her daughter, Mrs. Tom Plaxico, and Mr. Plaxico. Colonel and Mrs. F D. Stnb- ling were guests of Miss Lily Yarborough Thursday. They were enroute to their home in Santa Monica, Calif., following a trip around the world. 9 Capt. and Mrs. Robert C. Adair, and Mrs. Adair. Also visiting the Adairs over the week-end were Mr.s Adair’s son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Page and children, of Little Mountain. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Prather had as their Sunday guests Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Pratt and grandson, Jackie Ofr, of Columbia; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Beaudrot, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Young and son, Ernest, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Beaudrot and children, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Johnson will be interested to know she was able to return to her home here yesterday after being a pa tient for the past ten days at the Charlotte Memorial hospital. Miss Florence Ella Blakely, of Durham, N C.. arrives today for a week’s visit with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Blakely. Y./ arrived by plane in Charlotte, N. C, the past week.
