Games were played in the yard and later the group were invited inside for refreshmenst and fav ors. Party appointments carried out the chosen “hobo” theme. Power-Fowler Rites In California Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Frank lin Power were married October 21 at the Gretna Green Wedding Chapel, San Diego, Calif. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and (Mrs. Harold Poter, of San Francisco, Calif. The groom is the son of Rev., and Mrs. R. L. Power, of Clinton. They will make their home in San FYancisco, Calif., while the ^ groom completes-his naval service. Wolfes Have Guests For Thanksgiving Guests of ?Mr. and Mrs. James E. Wolfe for the day and the P. Edward Campbell. Dried Beauty Awards Given; Arrangements Now On Display “Dried Beauty” arrangements by members of the Clinton Gar den Club Council are on display in the lobby of M. S. Bailey and Son, Bankers, who are sponsoring the display now until December 4. The public is cordially invited to view the display which is being held in connection with the city beautification program. The arrangements were judged November 21 by accredited judg es, ribbons presented and cash awards given by the bank. Winner of the blue ribbon award was an arrangement o«f rose and cream princess feather, dock and magnolia leaves in an antique Chinese container and arranged by Mrs. Charlie Cooper, Mrs. I. M. Smith, Mrs. Hugh Ray and Mrs. ^arry Dillard of the Clara Duckett club. Ladies' Golf Assoc. The ^.akeside Ladies Golf asso ciation held a luncheon meeting on Tuesday of last week at the club with Mrs. Edward Ferguson and Mrs..Hugh Jacobs as hostesses. Prize winners were Mrs. George R. Blalqck and Mrs. George M. Huguley. The next meeting will be held on December 4 with Mrs. C. W. Anderson and Mrs .Blalock as hos tesses. Lunch Will be served at 12 o’clock. There will be no meeting on De cember 18. A side table was overlaid with an imported, hand-made lace cloth. A silver wedding bell was placed in the center with white satin streamers going to either side with white candles being used on each ing end of the table.
