Mont gomery will be interested to know she is improving at Watts hospital, Durham, N. C., after undergoing an operation there the past week. Mr. Montgomery is visiting relatives in Mebin. Mrs. C. A. Reeves has return ed to her home in Honea Path after spending the past two weeks here with her duaghter, Mrs. W. M. Hughes, and Mr. Hughes. Mr. Reeves was here on Sunday and accompanied her home. Friends of Howard Smith will be glad to know he is improving satisfactorily following an ope ration at Columbia hospital on Monday. Mrs. Frances McGow an of Mullins, spent several days here with the Smith children while Mrs. Smith was in Colum bia with her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Max Spurlin of Asheville, N. C., were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Crocker. Mrs. Dudley Jones is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Hubert Boyd, and Mr. Boyd. She was accom panied here for the week-end by her daughter, Mrs. Edward Brailsford, and daughter, Cath erine, of Summerton. On Sat urday Rev. and Mrs. Charles E. Raynal, Jr., and sons of Clemson, were also guests of the Boyds. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Giles at tended the South Carolina Auto mobile Dealers convention at Myrtle Beach the past week-end. Mrs. T. T. Arnold of Green ville, is spending the week with her son, J. B. Arnold, and fam ily. Mrs. C. M. Bailey and Mrs. W. L. Marshall, Jr., left yesterday of Laurens, were Sunday guests of Mrs. F. M. Stutts. Harry Baldwin attended the South Carolina Automobile Deal ers Association convention at Myrtle Beach the past Week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Buford Wilson of Atlanta, Ga., spent last week with the latter’s parents Dr. and Mrs. L. B. Marion. They were accompanied home by their lit tle daughter, Elizabeth, who spent the past five weeks here with her grandparents. Billy Eldridge, accompanied by relatives from Columbia and Spartanburg, leaves today for a trip to Newport Knoxville and other points of interest in Ten nessee. Mrs. Ed King and daughters of , Moultrie, Ga., will arrive Satur day for a several weeks visit with her mother, Mrs W. C. 1 Baldwin. Mauldin, and Mr. Mauldin. Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Adair, Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Vance were in Charleston the past week-end to attend the South Carolina Bankers convention. Mr. and Mrs. George E. Plunk ett, Jr., and children, Ernest, Al bert, Lourene and Taylor, of Con yers, Ga., Miss Louise Abrams of LaGrange, Ga., spent the week end with their mother, Mrs. Es telle Abrams. Also here for Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. G. E Plunkett, Sr., Buck Abrams and Miss Sara Williams of Conyers. Friends of Nick Tinman, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Tinman, will be interested to know he has received a discharge from the army and has returned to his home here and resumed his posi tion at Howard’s Pharmacy, Mrs. R. E. Sadler is spending several weeks in New York with her daughter. Miss Virginia Sad ler.
