Adult CImms Began This Week
Bi-weekly classes in both
grammar and high school levels
of the Clinton Mill Adult School
held at Academy Street school
started the past week with a prom
ising attendance it is reported.
A cordial welcome to enroll in
these classes is extended to any
person desiring further adult
education. Students are requested
to invite any adults over seven
teen years of age, not attending
public schools to enroll. In order
that the classes may toe continued,
it is stated, the school must meet
a state requirement of sixteen
students per class, maintaining an
average of eleven. All who are in
terested are invited to enroll In
the school and attend regularly.
Revival
A revival began Wednesday
night January 6 at the Church of
God on Elizabeth street. Rev. Ce
cil Grant ef Taylors will be the
visiting pastor. Each night the
service will begin at 7 o’clock.

palms and centered with a large

Derrell Rochester of Anderson
was best man.
The bride, given in marriage by
her brother, J. C. Foster, wore a
floor length gown of white satin
fashioned with Chantilly lace. Her
finger tip veil was attached to a
cap of matching lace. She carried
a white Bible topped with white
carnations showered with tiny
streamers of white satin ribbons.
Mrs. J. W. Walton, cousin of the
bride, was matron of honor, she
wore a floor length gown of white
taffeta. She carried a cascade
bouquet of white chrysanthemums
tied with green ribbon For travel
the bride chose a pink gabardine
suit with brown accessories. After
a short wedding trip the couple
will reside at 303 Francis street.
Strand-Barnes Wedding
Miss Ann Barnes, daughter of
Rev. and Mrs. W. C. Barnes of
Greenville, became the bride of
Howard Stroud, son of Mr. and
Mrs. !B. B. Stroud, Sat., Jan. 1st
at 2:00 o'clock in the home of the
Rev. W. R. Craven, who perform
ed the ceremony.
/The bride wore a cwo-piece
black wool suit trimmed with
white. Her hat and bag were a
mingled black with white, white
gloves and black shoes. Her cor
sage was a white orchid.
Upon returning from a short
wedding trip the couple will re
side at the home of the groom’s
parents at 100 Beauregard street.
