Roy Crawford spent the week-end in New York attending the wedding of their sister and daughter, Miss Ida Crawford to Robert Murray Stewart, which took place Satur day evening in the chapel of the Riverside church. They made the trip by plane. Mrs. J. H. Donnan and Miss Miriam Donnan spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Aull in Pendleton. Miss Jennie Payne, student at Salem Academy, Winston-Salem, N. C., will arrive Saturday to spend the holidays with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Payne. She will be accompanied here for the week-end by two classmates, Misses Martha Wheeler of Mem phis, Term., and Linda Brame of North WilkeBboro, N. C. The three will fly to Charleston on Friday where they will attend a dance that evening. Ralph Griffin of Cincinnati, Ohio, spent the week-end with his sister, Mrs. James Von Hollen and Mr. Von Hollen. Miss Ellen Fraser, sophomore at King College, Bristol, Tenn., is at home to spend the Christ mas holidays with her parents, the Rev. Dr. and Mrs. T. Layton Fraser. Miss Dorohty Clark of San Francisco, Calif., will arrive dur ing the week-end to spend the Christmas season with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Clark, and other relatives. Mrs. C. A. Reeves of Honea Path, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. W. M. Hughes, and Mr. Hughes. Lt. Brewer Dixon, Jr., of Talla dega, Ala., who has been station ed with the Army Air Force in England, has returned to the states and will spend the week end with his grandmother, Mrs. C. M. Bailey. Mrs. C. A. Hollis, Sr., has ac cepted a position with Clinton Cleaners in the alterations de partment. Mrs. David C. Abercrombie of Norfolk, Va., is spending several weeks with her mother, Mrs. Rachel Moseley. Miss Eloise Marshall, and Miss Lillian Hart, students at St. Catherine’s School, Richmond, Va., will arrive today to spend the holidays at their homes. Mr. and Mrs. D. B. The court yesterday got a State Highway Department appeal of a Greenville Circuit Court ruling that they system is unconstitution al. Atty. J.
