Skish Contest Tomorrow
The Men’s club will sponsor a
skish contest Friday evening at
the Clinton Mill swimming pool
from 4 until 7 p. m.
Skish is a new sport especially
interesting to fishermen. It is
casting at 3-inch aluminum rings
at distances from 20-80 feet. Full
instructions will be given along
with demonstrations of both spin
ning and fly casting. A bait cast
ing contest iwll also be held and
prizes awarded the winners in the
various contest.

1. Secure value received for every dollar spent. Improve the Economic
Structure of the Town of Clinton^ whereby the credit of the town will
be improved.
2. Set up a workable Budget and keep expenditures within that Budget.
Develop a plan and program for the normal expansion and development
of the many services of the town for the next ten years.
3. Full cooperation with the Town Council. Exerting the Executive au
thority of the Mayor to see that all ordinances and resolutions of the
Town Council are carried out. Constructive suggestions to your council
in assisting them with oM and new legislative procedure.
4. Close cooperation with the Citizens of Clinton, requesting advice and
help on all important matters pertaining to the operation of your Town
Government.
5. Farther deveiope the purchasing department, whereby all materials,
equipment and supplies shall be purchased through this department at
the best prices possible consistent with quality.
6. Deveiope a cost accounting of all various departments and vehicles,
with complete inventories of every department available at all times.
7. Maintain information service and telephone at Town Hall, whereby any
complaints or requests for services can be made and the proper depart
ment be notified.
8. Analyse every department of the Town of Clinton in order that more
efficient service might be given the Citizens of Clinton. Coordinate all
departments in order that every department shall perform a more
efficient over-all job for the town of Clinton.
9. Develop a plan of water supply that will be ample for many years. I
would like to see some type of water authority or water district la the
lower part of Laurens County.

10. Expand our recreation fadlitico for the boys and girls of
muuity. <
11. Bring our electric system up-to-date, la order that this service shall be
available in the most efficient manner to all customers at reasonable
rates. /" / »
12. Secure the best available sanitation and health department for the town
of Clinton.
13. Work for the surface treatment of every dirt road in the Town of
Clinton as soon as finances and aid from the County can be arranged.
14. Develop a long-term plan for our sewerage system.
15. Seek the aid of every Citizen in doing a good selling job for the Town
of Clinton.
16.. Close cooperation with the State Highway Department to see that high
ways and roads controlled by the department be maintained in good
condition and improved when necessary.
17. Definite training for our Peace Officers, in cooperation with State law
enforcement officers. State Highway officers and County officers.
18. Maintain the best tax rate possible consistent with the problems and
development of tho Town of Clinton.
19. Wipe out tho floating indebtedneos as soon as possible and keep the
Public informed of the financial position of the Town and Clinton-New-
berry Gas Authority.’
21. Work in cooperation with the recently appointed Laurens County De-
