IF YOU ARE SUFFERING WITH
HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
—Or with a chronic atate of ill health associated with high blood pressure
HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE—A dangerous
symptom, not a disease. Treatments given to
reduce the pressure without correction of the
diseased condition is fruitless. Prompt and
permanent fecovery can come only in pro
portion to the correction of the underlying
causes of high blood pressure. An example
of this clearly shown in the following 'case
history taken from the files of the Hart Clin
ic, 205 Church St., Laurens, S. C. ,
Case History No. 913
When this patient came to the clinic, her
blood pressure was above 200. All former
treatments failed to reduce the pressure or
give relief. Within two weeks aftr starting
treatments at the Hart Clinic, the blood pres
sure had dropped 50 points, monthly check
ups reveal that it has continued to stay down,
and the patient is feeling well again.
r The Danger Line
In general if blood pressure is above 150,
it is high time to take some steps about it. If
above 175 there should be genuine concern
and if it registers 190 or 200 there is ample
cause to provoke immediate action in the
RIGHT DIRECTION. And the right direc
tion is to the C. J. Hart Chiropractic Clinic,
205 Church St., Laurens, S. C. Tel. 22501 v
Second Stroke Averted
Case No. 1238—had suffered a very slight
stroke and was having terrible headaches
and discomfort in the head and neck. Blood
pressure was above 180 and the family fear-
*ed another stroke of paralysis:. Several
"weeks of medication had failed to bring re
lief. Following first treatment at the Hart
Clinic, the headaches ceased and all discom
fort disappeared. Continued treatments re
duced the pressure to a safe 140.
Symptoms of High Blood
Pressure
The symptoms of high blood pressure are
varied and a patient may suffer one, two or
more of the following: Headaches almost
constantly, nervousness, dizziness, shortness
of breath and kidney discomfort. High blood
pressure associated with kidney trouble is
soon relieved at, the Hart Clinic as revealed
by the following case.
Dr. Hart X-Raying patient to find cause of
High Blood Pressure
Dr. Hart checking patient** Blood Pressure
Case History No. 1032
This is the record of a young man suffer
ing with a kidney trouble which was respon
sible for his blood pressure above 150. He
was nervous and had to get up several times
each night for a kidney action. He express
ed disgust at former methods of treatments
and frankly stated that nothing could be
done to reduce the blood pressure. The
cause of his trouble was located and correct
ed by Dr. Hart. He stopped getting up nights
and the blood pressure went down to a nor
mal of 130 and has continued to be normal in
spite of the patient** attitude.
The Stroke
Many persons are not aware of high blood
pressure until they suffer an apopletic stroke
which leaves them more or less paralyzed.
(Dr. Hart will check your blood pressure
without charge, if you will come by the clin
ic during regular clinic hours.) After the
first stroke the condition is grave. Seldom
do sufferers survive a second or third stroke.
It is usually possible to prevent the second
stroke if proper treatment is begun at once
at the C. J. Hart Chiropractic Clinic, Lau
rens, S. C. Telephone 22501.
Case No. 663
This patient had suffered, a severe stroke
which affected the entire side of the body.
Blood pressure was above 200. Treatments
by Dr. Hart reduced the pressure to 144 and
the second stroke was prevented. Patient ha*
enjoyed living for more than three years
since first treatment of the Hart Clinic at
Laurens, S. C.
A Great Tragedy
One of the greatest tragedies of our tim^s
is the large number of persons who go
their graves prematurely, due to the various^
conditions which cause high blood pressure;
Each day many lives are lost that might
t have easily been aaved had proper treatment
been started at the Hart Chiropractic Clinic.
Laurens, S. C. Even when treatments have
been delayed, much can be done, to relieve
the symptoms and remove immediate dan
ger.
DON’T WAIT! You can’t afford to! Start
your treatments today. Call the Hart Clinic
of Laurens, S. C., at 22501 and arrange for
