To Lutheran Society
The regular monthly meeting of
the Woman’s Missionary Society of
St. John’s Lutheran church was
held on November 9 at the home
of Mrs. W. E. Marse on Cedar street.
Mrs. E. E. Smith, assisted by sev
eral other members, presented the
program on the topic, “Our Spanish
Lutherans in North America.”
During a social hour following
the program the hostess served re
freshments.
Bridge Clubs, Parties
The Past Week
Mrs. Robert E. Wysor, 3rd, gave
a dessert bridge Thursday after
noon for members of her card club.
Two tables were laid for refresh
ments and a sweet course was serv
ed with coffee when the guests as
sembled. Following tiie . progres
sions score prizes went to Mrs.
Norman Sloan. Mrs. Ben Ivey as
sisted the hostess in serving.

Meeting This Week
The Wednesday bridge club was
entertained the past week at the
home of Mrs. Ed Sadler on Chest
nut street. Several additional guests
were invited, assembling playerfe

After cards a salad plate was
served. Mrs. Tommy Hgllis and
Mrs. Bill Shields were presented
score awards.
Bronze chrysanthemums made a
