Pearson’s pass intended for Martin Gwinn Crisp Retires After 46 Years With Railroad A. B. Crisp, who began his rail road career at Mountville after starting out as a mail carrier, has resigned from his railroad service - with the Seaboard Air Line after) 46 years with the railroad, accord-f ing to reports from Flberton. Ga.,' where he has been ticket agent since 1920. His retirement was compulsory after he arrived at the age of 70 years. His plans for the, future were Mot announced, except for a fishing trip with his wife to Florida. The ELberton Star of Nov. 1, un-| der a caption, “Honor to Whom) Due”, carried the following about him: Those who appreciate work well, done; who appreciate men of char acter; who appreciate a friend, are ever quick to pay honor to those who deserve it. For many years A. B. Crisp has been a solid patriotic; citizen of Elberton. His life work has been with and for the Seaboard) Air Line Railroad, and now that he has reached the age limit of service, he, on yesterday, retired from the office wherein he has served so long. His innate courtesy, pleas ant manners, and sensible handling of daily routine made him one of the most popular employees of the Seaboard. We sincerely hope his retirement will not nyean he will 1 cease to be one of us.
