ty oil Conservation District, said:
“I have found sericea lespedeza
to be an excellent plant for summer
hay and grazing. When the dis
trict technician first approached me
on the idea of planting sericea, I
told him I didn’t want sericea on
my farm. Now I have 40-50 acres
on which I am grazing 58 head of
beef cattle and did so during the
summer months. Sericea comes
out early in the spring and stays
until frost. Other plants fade out
due to hot, dry weather. Sericea
still furnishes good hay and graz-
