Camp Fire’s goals are your goals,

your girl and her leader. You are
not only grateful to the Community
Chest for its financial support of
Camp Fire but you work on the

share. And sometime during the
years while your daughter is a
member, you share the responsibil
ity of leadership as an assistant,
leader, sponsor, or on one of the
council committees. These com
mittees administer 1 the business
which sees that the camping, train

council has done so well in giving,
an opportunity to all girls who wish

These girls belong to the Horizon

goals set by the girls themselves as
they realize that soon they will be

the girls are expected to adjust to

the problems can be talked out.
One club stated its goal as “getting'

In restyling the interiors of thej
entire line, Mr. Cooper revealedi
that Dodge had contracted for all'
available mill capacity on a new
type of upholstery fabric known as|
Jacquard.
Although new to the automotive I
industry, Mr. Cooper said, Jacquard,'
is a class of exclusive fabrics pre-
viously used only for rich tapestries,
and expensive furniture. Jacquard j
has been chosen for the 1954 Dodge i
because it adaptable to unusual 1

Camp Fire Girls
Leader Tells Of
Organization's Work
Mrs. Elizabeth H. Siddall, region
al field supervisor of Camp Fire
Girls, Inc., recently visited in the
city to conduct a three-day course
for Camp Fire and Blue Bird lead
ers in the three local districts.
Mrs. Richard Blalock of Mar
shall, Texas, retiring National
President of the organization, in
-support of its objects and work, ad
dressed this communication to all
interested mothers in an open let
ter:
“Camp Fire and Horizon club is
just what I wanted for my daugh
ter, and it has meant so much to me
to participate with her.
“You know, if every mother in
-each group could know the joy that
comes from sharing the thoughts
and interests of her teen-age
daughter and friends, there would
be much competition in order to
decide just who might have the
privilege of being the Advisor..
“The very loveliest thing Camp
Fire has brought to me was the
privilege of being a leader, of hav
ing that close relationship with my
owm daughter and with ner group
of friends. What dearer" thing
