Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jacks and Richard Jacks visited in Seneca Sun day. Mrs. Sydney Still and children of Biloxi, Miss., are spending some time with her sister, Mrs. Richard Moore, and Mr. Moore. Mrs. H. C. Flyrn left Monday for Atlanta, Ga., where she w<r make her home. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Spillers and Mr. and Mrs. Merrell Harris motored to Cherryvillo, N. C., Saturday with Pfc. Earl McCullough, who reported back for duty after a 10 day fur lough spent with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. D. McCullough. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Quinton and son visited in the mountains of North Carolina recently. / Mrs. Sadie Mabry of Gaffney, has returned home after a few days’ stay with her son-in-law and daugaler, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Trammell. Mr. and Mrs. Grover Landford and Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Landford have returned home after spending sev eral days with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Landford in Miami, Fla. Miss Gerry Trammell of Rock Hill, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Trammell. Those attending Mrs. Fannie Rid dle’s funeral in Greenwood Sunday were: Mr. aiyl Mrs. Louie Webb, J. Duna way,' in Jacksonville, Fla. Mrs. John Campbell has been called to Anderson due to the serious illness of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Bill Campbell. Mrs. H. W. Simmons, Mrs. Doro thy Davis, Mr. and Mrs. James Craine and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Heaton visited Mr. and Mrs. Odell Morse and family in Greenwood Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Foster, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Foster and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Watts and chil dren, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Burns and children and Harry Foster, accom panied by Mr. and Mrs. Hazle Foster of Wilmington, N. C., and S-Sgt. and Mrs. Rozzelle Foster, and Mrs. Mary Passmore of Fort Bragg, N. C., en joyed several days at Carolina Beach, hT. C. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in Greenwood. in Laurens county about five weeks ago. They had been left in the vault in the store for safe keeping by in dividuals in the store’s neighbor hood. Camp Fire Girls Enjoy Camp A group of 44 Camp r ire members spent three days at Camp Buckhom on Parris mountain. A variety of activities were enjoy ed by the girls, including crafts, folk dancing, swimming, ceremonials and —not to be omitted—an abundance of good food. Tuesday evening the gfris who were awarded beads for required work during the year conducted a ceremonial. The following served as counsel ors: Mrs. Joe E. Land, Mrs. Michael Sholar, Mrs. A. C. Young, Mrs. L. C. Ficklin, Mrs. Platt Prather, Mrs. Marvin Whitmire and Miss Jackie Franks. Richard Jacks and Clifton Heaton served as lifeguards. Bonds Get $60 Apiece Union, July 19.—Two 15-year-old Union boys, Bobby Toney and Jerry McGowan, who found the, missing $17,750 in United States Savings bonds near-Union July 12, have been rewarded with $60 each. Sheriff Rochelle Boyle of Union received $100 from Sheriff W. A. Lowery of Laurens county to be giv en to the two boys.
