Speak Sunday At
Local A. R. P. Church
Miss Lajwanti. Sohan Lai, a na
tive of Pakistan, will speak at the
Associate Reformed Presbyterian
J church next Sunday, July 5, at the
j 11 o’clock morning worship hour.
i Miss Sohan Lai is a native work-
j er, a graduate nurse, with the mis-
i sionary forces of the A. R. P. church
in Pakistan. She is employed in the
hospital which the denomination
maintains at Montgomery, Pakistan,
and is in this country doing gradu
ate study in the nurses training
school of Emory university, Atlanta,
and will return to he native land
this fall.
She spoke before the meeting of
the general synod of the A. R. P.
church in June at Bonclarken, Flat
Rock, N. C., also at the intermediate
and young people’s conferences held
there during the same month, and
has spoken in many churches of the
denomination since coming to Amer
ica.
She speaks English fluently and
the public is cordially invited to
hear her.
While in Clinton she will be the
guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Trib
ble, whose daughter, Miss Louise
Tribble, also a student at the train
ing school of Emory, will accom
pany Miss Sohan Lai here for the
week-end.
