Miss Ella McCrary left this week to spend the summer in Columbia with her sister, Mrs. R. P. Kapp, and family. Mrs. Lillie Seawright and Miss Cora. Boyce were business visitors in Charleston the past week-end. Mrs. R. E. Treadwell of Atlanta, Ga., is spending the week with her mother, Mrs. Ernest Hipp. Friends of Mrs. I. M. Smith of the Bush River community, will be in terested to know she is a patient at the Newberry county hospital. Miss Clelia Garrison, student at the Woman’s college of the Uni versity of North Carolina, Greens boro, N. C., is spending the summer with her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. E. K. Garrison. Mrs. Zeno Craddock was called to Thomasville, N. C., the past week because of the death of her broth er-in-law, Joe Burts. Friends of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Puryear will be interested to know they moved this week to Aiken where h e is an insurance adjuster for the General Adjustment Insur ance Bureau. Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Galloway of Anderson spent the week-end with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs J. H. Von Hollen and other rela tives here. Miss Carolyn Murphy of Ashe ville, N. C., and Miss Sunie Mur phy of Memphis, Tenn., are visit ing the former’s parents and the latter’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Mlurphy. Mr. and Mrs. Romayne Hamilton of Bluffton, spent the week-end with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Young, and attended graduation exercises at Presbyte- riah college at which time Mr. Hamilton received his diploma. Mrs. R. W. Wade is spending the week in Charlotte, N .C., with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Wade. Mrs. N. : W. McDaniel is spending several weeks in Fayetteville, N. C., with her son, Otis T. McDaniel, and family. She attended the grad uation of her grandson, Donald McDaniel, at Fayetteville high school this week. Mr. and Mrs. L. H.
