stand together strong to preserve
the American heritage of freedom.
“We need.” he said, “to have more

Another good
reason
for :
saving
If there is something you want, and the cost
is more than your budget will allow in one
lump sum — look at the budget again.
Decide how much you can save, each pay
day. Divide the cost by that amount, and
you’ll know exactly how soon you can reach
your goal. Then start saving regularly, here,

it Over!
A S WE READ the daily ar
ticles of columnists and ed
itorial writers on the Rus
sian situation, based seemingly
on the supposition that we are
hound to have war with the
USSR, we often wonder if we
ourselves are not, unintention
ally of course, aggravating mat
ters and possibly bringing our
nation and the Soviets closer to
actual war.
They are constantly discus
sing what would happen in case
of war, how we would defend
ourselves, the modern weapons
w'e would have for use, proposed
plans of attack, etc.
Take it home to yourself. If
you should hear that some per
son was constantly talking of
trouble between you, what he
would do in such case, the weap
ons he was carrying, the prep
arations he was making for
such an eventuality, what would
you think? And what would you
do?
Maybe we are stirring things
too much that were better un
stirred. Maybe our writers
should be more careful in what
they say, and that this delicate
situation should be handled
more carefully. It is somet)
worth considering. ThU*x/it
