C., spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Bowen. Mr. and Mrs. Pat Bowers and Billy attended the Boozer family reunion held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Boozer in New berry on Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Abrams and children visited the latter’s parents. Mr. and litrs. P. L. Attaway, in boys out of the 90Q freshmen were; honored in a high scholarship rat ing. Tommy was one of the 20 1 and received a rating of 37. He was also honored as a new member initiated into the Phi Eta Sigma. ! Mrs. Boyce also attended the an nual Mother’s Day celebration at Clemson the past Sunday. -——• To Present Recital Mrs. Carson Nabors will present her piano pupils in a recital Fri day evening at 7:30 at Joanna club house. The public is cordially in vited. Harry Estes gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Fulmer Sunday for dinner. Colored People Contribute $826.77 In March of Dimes Drive County Chairman .. J. Hewlette Wasson has announced that the committee working among the col ored people for the March of Dimes campaign have completed their re port. C. D. Beasley, colored chair man, reports $826.77 raised in the drive. Rev. E. W. Wright is presi dent, C. Albert Rubens, secretary- treasureri In the Clinton area, with Prof. McQuilla Hudson as chairman,'and B. L. Thompson, co-chairman, $168. was raised, with the list of contributors given. In the Gray Court area $102.50 was raised. Lau rens area, $376.12, in the busness district $42.65, and amogfi the churches $69.05, $22.60 and $35.00.
