$582,376 GIVEN AS EXPENDITURES OF
LAURENS SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR '53-'S4
Laurens, May 11.— Estimated ex
penditures of Laurens County School
District No. 55, embracing most of
the upper section of the county, ^or
the school year 1953-54 will be $582,-
376.13, according to a budget adopt
ed at a recent meeting of the district
trustees. .
After allowing for estimated re
ceipts, including proceeds from this
year’s state surplus distributed to
schools and -an allowance for enroll
ment instead of average attendance,
a total of $105,944.98 was estimated
to be raised by taxation.
