as they opened the 15th week of the
session here at noon Tuesday.
The Senate has accepted a free
conference draft of the bill; the
House has rejected it.
Unless one or the other changes its
stand, the bill is dead and a new one

ference committee, headed by Sen.
Edgar A. Brown of Barnwell.

last week after representatives noted
that this sudden two million would
have provided extra raises in teacher
pay which the House originally vot-
