Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Campbell of Decatur, Ga., were week-end guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Murray Adams and Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Arnold. Mrs. Julian Hart and Miss Glenda Hart of Greenwood, were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Rey nolds. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Braswell, Mrs. Jimmy Braswell and Mrs. Melvin Huey attended a birthday dinner honoring Mrs. Wirt Jennings at her home in Columbia recently. Washington Leopard and daugh ter of Ninety-^Six, visited Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Leopard Sunday. Charles Kinard, GM3, of Norfolk, Va., was the week-end guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Norton. Terry will learn with interest that little Cynthia Terry has returned from Hays hospital after being ad mitted Sunday for minor bruises and. injuries sustained when struck by a car Sunday when leaving Sun day school. Rev. and Mrs. Terry ex press appreciation for all kindness rendered them at the time of the accident. Birthdays and Weddipf Anniversaries Mrs. E. C. Longshore celebrated her 60th birthday April 15. April 24th will be the 8th birthday of Nancy Ann Leopard. Mrs. Wirt Jenings celebrated her birthday April 12, Yesterday was the birthday of Mrs. Harry Foster. Little Joseph David Cagle was 1 year old yesterday. Today is the birthday of Miss Elizabeth Gregory. Gail Ivester celebrated her birth day yesterday. . Pat Lanford will be 9 yearsf old tomorrow. Friends of Leon Hedspeth 'will learn with regret that he is ill at his home. We are glad to report J. F. Weif is able to be out after being a pa tient at Hays hospital several days. Revial In Progress Revival services began last night at the Church of God on Elizabeth street. The guest speaker each eve ning will be Rev. David Suleman, an Arad Missionary from Palestine. A special feature of the Sunday evening service will be the Kings- man’s quartet of Greenville. The pastor, Rev. J. B. Cole, ex tends to the public a cordial invita tion to attend the services each eve ning at 7:15. W. M. S. Holds Meeting On Monday evening the W. M. S. of Calvary Baptist church held its regular monthly meeting at the church. Hunnicutt and Mr. and Mrs. Hoke Huey of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hunnicutt of Hogansville, Ind., were guests Mon day of Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Knox. Mr. and Mrs. George Cunningham and family of Wilmington, N. C., are spending the week with the for mer’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Cunningham. Friends of George Dunaway will learn with interest that he has been promoted to Airman 2c and is now stationed in Mexico. Rev. and Mrs. Dial Jacks and son of Seneca, visited the former’s par ents Thursday. Sgt. and Mrs. W. H. Crowell of Fort Bragg, N. C., were week-end guests of the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Crowell. Friends of Arthur Baker will learn with interest that he has enlisted in the navy. Seaman Baker is taking his boot training at San Diego, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Toms visited the latter’s sister, Mrs. W. C. Harris, and Mr. Harris in Shelby, N. C., Sunday. Mrs. Fay Cooper who has been re siding with the W. B. Phillips, will leave this week-end to m$ke her home in Bee Log, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Spurlock and son and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wood of Charleston, visited Mr. and Mrs. Marcell Barker Sunday. Mrs. Spur lock and son remained for a two weeks visit. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sizemore of Greenwood, visited the former’s father, W. D. Sizemore, and Mrs. Sizemore Sunday. Richard Hamikon of Aiken, spnet the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Hampton. Rev. and Mrs. J. W. SpiUers visit ed in the mountains of North Caro lina Tuesday. Clean-Up, Fix-Up Success* The clean-up, fix-up contest was a big success this year. Rev. James Watson of Calhoun Falls, state youth director, is the evangelist, and services are held at 7:45 each evening. The pas tor, Rev. J. A.
