Rites For Sergeant Killed in Korea
The body of Sgt. John H. Williams
was returned to Union Sunday for
burial. Sgt. Williams was killed in
the line of duty while in service with
the U. S. Army in Korea.
Before entering the service Sgt.
Williams resided with Mr. and Mrs.
Brooks’ Dunaway and was employed
by the Dixie Home Stores.
Baptizing Sunday
The ordinance of Baptism will be
held Sunday night at the Church of
God on Elizabeth street by the pas
tor, Rev. J. B. Cole. The pastor in
vites the public to attend.
Honored On Birthday
On Friday evening Mrs. Evelyn
Snelgrove and Mrs. Myrtle Whitsel
entertained at the latter’s home in
honor of Mrs. Missouri Wilkie who
