Any person interested in good
grazing program should make this
tour. The best way to learn about
the value of pasture, which is
grassland farming, is to see and
hear the farmer who is doing a
good job at such. Laurens county
1 has made good progress in grass
land farming and livestock pro-
j duction.
Seed Sweet Polaleos
A cooperative order of 52 bushels
of seed potatoes from Edisto Ex
periment Station arrived last week.
Sweet potatoes should be treated
before bedding. The borax treat
ment is very simple and satisfac
tory, using one pound of regular bo
rax that may be bought at any
grocery store, with five gallons of
water and soak the potatoes 10
minutes and bed at once. Exten
sion information card No. 74 on
treating seed sweet potatoes may
be had free from the county agent’s
office.
Sweet potatoes should be bedded
as soon as the ground is dry enough
