IF YOU DON'T READ THE CHRONICLE YOU DON’T GET THE NEWS Post Office To Be Open Saturdays; Early Mailing Requested ♦ The post office will be open for business all day on Saturday, De cember 13, and Saturday, Dec. 20, it is announced by Postmaster W. D. Aair. Patrons are urged to prepare fir their Christmas mailings early, avoiding the last minute rush. Pack ages for out-of-state delivery should be mailed in the next few days to guarantee delivery before Christmas. Patrons are reminded that greet ing cards that carry a three-cent stamp may be forwarded to new ad dress in case addressee has moved, or returned to sender in case deliv ery cannot be accomplished. The un sealed greeting card with only name of sender in writing requires a two- cent stamp, but can be forwarded only upon payment of additional postage. The public can greatly aid in the handling of the thousands of greet ings that will be mailed daily if they will separate the “local” from the “out of town,” placing a rubber band around each bundle. When buying your supply of stamps ask the clerk for printed labels “All for local de livery” and “All for out of town de livery.” =T Thursday, December 11, 1952 Young People To Present Christmas Play At Joanna The play, “White Christmas,” by Dorothy Clark Wilson, will be pre sented by the young people of the Joanna Baptist church on Sunday evening, Dec. 14, at 7:30 o’clock.
