RUBY KELLER MAY, Warren then quotes the resolution
Executrix. | which says a state Democratic Party
4c-u -31 member may vote for presidential
I electors ol his choice without in any

ing.
"I leave it to the readers to say,”|
Warren continued, “whether the
statement in the rotogravure or the
statement of Mr. Brown is an un
truth.
"I cannot help but feel that Mr.
Brown is restlessly bedding down
with the people he labeled in Chi-
cago (at the national Democratic
convention) as ‘political cattle’ and
I fear his restlessness has caused him
to be reckless, to say the least, in his
statement.
“ ‘Life - magazine, .dated Oct. 27,
prints a picture of Mr. Brown call
ing him ‘South Carolina Boss.’ Mr.
Brown should not take this seriously.
The people of South Carolina will
not be bossed.”

Game Warden Says
To Enforce Law
On Trapping Game
—♦—.
Game Warden Garvin O’Dell re
minded the public yesterday that it
is unlawful to set rabbit boxes or
traps of any kind.
He declared that this law is aim
ed at keeping some persons from
trapping game and selling it com
mercially. “It is unlawful to even
sell wild rabbits regardless of how
caught or killed.”
The game* warden emphatically
said he intended to enforce the
law which calls for a fine of not
less than $25 or more than $100.
He added that steel traps can be
wjithin 200 yards of any resi-
or 25 yards of a poultry
set for the protection of
property.
In further explaining the pur
pose of the law, lie said there have
been some cases of people setting
out as many as a hundred boxes
which seriously diminishes the rab
bit stock.
The season opens on Thanksgiv
ing day for guns and dogs, how
ever, he stated that rabbits can be
run without guns now, but that'
hunters must have their licenses.

NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD?
It all depends upon what you call "good". If you mean prosperity based upon the blood of
our S. C. sons . . . money to jingle in your pockets while a boy bleeds to death in Korea,
then that's what the Truman Democrats offer you. Those who have died or been maimed
in war did not have it so good. TRUMAN DEMOCRATS MAINTAIN THAT THE 120,000
CASUALTIES AMONG AMERICAN BOYS IN KOREA ARE THE RESULT OF A "PO
LICE ACTION".
Yes, it all depends on what you mean by "good." If you mean more dollars in your pockets,
that's what the Truman Democrats offer. BUT ... a Truman dollar will buy only
43< worth of food, only 45* worth of clothes, only 45* worth of furniture ... is worth
overall ONLY 53 cents’!
\
Don't fall for the good-times myth. These are treacherous times. A dollar is worth only
what it buys. And you know, a Truman dollar doesn't buy much!
As Franklin D. Roosevelt remarked on July 30, 1932, "Any government, like any family, can
for a year, spend a little more than it earns. But you and I know that a continuance
of that habit means the poorhouse."
Since July 1, 1952 the Federal Government has been spending $73 million more a day
than it has received! fl
The Truman administration is the author of war, debt, inflation, and shocking corruption of
American life and morals. STEVENSON HAS ACCEPTED THE TRUMAN RECORD!
As Dwight D. Eisenhower said in Columbia, "We have an administration which may
go down in history as the 'Scandal-a-day administration'.
"We are going to change to an administration which will root corruption out and
then go on with the kind of men and women who can b« trusted to see to 4 .
it that corruption does not get in."
