For two weeks preceding the re
union Mrs. Homer Echols has been
visiting her mother, Mrs. W. W.
Hair. On Thursday, July 3, Mrs.

Hair visited Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Wheeler in Statesville, N. C. The
same group were supper guests on
Friday night of Mr. and Mrs. S. L
Hair in Columbia. The past Thurs
day Mrs. F. B. Wheeler, Mrs. Jay
Little and small son. Tommy, of
Statesville, N. C., joined the family
and Friday Mr. and Mrs. Wayne
Brockner and small son, Ken, and
Homer Echols of Columbia, La.,
arrived. Since then the entire
family enjoyed a weiner roast at
the picnic shelter and the group
was entertained by Mr. and Mrs.
Hoyt Noble with a fish supper at
the Exchange club grounds near
Newberry.
Mrs. Outley Honored
On Saturday evening at 7:30 a
group of friends honored Mrs
Marvin Outley with a shower at
the home of Mrs. W. B. Murrah on
Magnolia street.
Mrs. Sara Welchel and Mrs.
Murrah led the gamfcs with Mrs
Medlock and Mrs. Sara Golden
winning prizes.
Mrs. Outley was nresented a
pink rosebud corsage arranged in
an unusual style.
The hostesses were Mrs. Alice
Davenport, Mrs. Jack Morgan,
Mrs. Sara Morgan, Mrs. Margie
Rogers, Mrs. Faye Rogers, Mrs.
Sara Welchel, and Mrs. Murrah
They served assorted sandwiches,
potato chips, cup cakes and punch.
Out of town guests were Mrs.
Lola Mae Bates of Prosperity; Mrs.
Medlock of Bonds Crossroads, and
Mrs. Taylor-of Laurens.
