To the Voters of the
Town of Clinton:
I SOLICIT YOUR SUPPORT AS A CANDIDATE FOR
RE-ELECTION AS ALDERMAN FROM WARD 2 IN
THE APPROACHING CITY PRIMARY TUESDAY,
JUNE 10TH.
I am against and will vote against any increase in taxes re
gardless of the kind. ' »
I am 100% for strict law enforcement to make our town and
community a safer and better place in which to live.
I am in favor of a clean town, clean streets and sidewalks,
and beautifying, and will fully cooperate with the Mayor, City
Council and Civic organizations in beautifying and building a
City Park and Play Grounds for ALL of the children. This is
badly needed.
I am in favor of taking additional steps necessary to rid our
town of mosquitoes, ants and other insects.
I am in favor of a six-man board of health, with one repre
sentative from each ward, without pay, and with an experienced,
trained health officer in charge of the department. I will again
offer a resolution in City Council to employ a full time, expe
rienced health officer.
Our utility rates are much higher as compared to other towns
this size. This matter of reducing rates is now under City Coun
cil’s consideration, and in my .opinion the rates will be reduced.
_ I wiU-vot«- 4or4t*- —
Clinton is badly in need of public toilets for both white and
colored and I will offer a resolution in City Council that such
public facilities be provided.
^ P will continue to cooperate with the, Mayor, City Council and
civic organizations, but under no conditions will I be merely a
YES-MAN.
I believe in Clinton and its future. I am a. native of this city,
and you can depend on me to do anything I can for the better
ment of our town.
If re-elected, I will continue to serve the entire community
honestly, efficiently and courteously, and will strive always to
protect the taxpayers’ interests.
YOUR VOTE ON TUESDAY, JUNE 10TH, WILL BE
GREATLY APPRECIATED.
