Mr. Patterson also has 60 acres of wheat that promises good yield this year. In 1951 he averaged 30 bushels by weight per acre on 26 acres. Sudan Grass for Summer Grazing Dairymen should not overlook the importance of seeding Sweet Sudan or Pearl Millett for supplementing summer grazing. Sweet Sudan may be seeded at two to three week inter vals up until six or eight weeks be fore frost to afford tender grazing. The seed broadcast at the rate of 25 to 30 pounds per acre on well pulver ized seed bed, fertilized at the rate of 600 to 800 pounds of fertilized per acre at seeding time and topdressed with nitrogen when up to a good stand.
