The contract, awarded to W. E. Baker Si Son of Whitmire, calls for the com pletion of the project in 180 days. The building will cost in excess of $50,000. Roy E. Youth Night Group Meets Saturday evening the young peo ple of the community met at the Community building for games, singing, a devotional and refresh ments. Those present voted to have Youth Night every other Sat urday night from 8 to 10 o’clock. League Party Enjoyed Friday evening, March 14, ’the Epworth League of Bailey Memo rial church met at the Community building for a farewell party in honor of Wayne Saville, who re turned to service Saturday. After a period of active games all en joyed refreshments served buffet style. In the spirit of Saint Pat- Patrick’s Day, the color scheme was green against white as carried out both in the dress of those attend ing the party and in the refresh ment#. Special League Program Sunday evening, March 16, the Epworth League of Bailey Mem orial Methodist church was priv ileged to have a special program presented by students of Bob Jones University of Greenville The pro gram included a brass trio, vocal soloist, Ed McKinley, music led by Harold Bryant, and a brief message by Lewis Wilson. To Operal* Stand The Youth Society of the Pente costal Holiness church on Jackson street will open a hot dog stand on Pitts street in the building former ly occupied byHuey’s taxi stand. It will be open Friday and Sat urday morning at 10:30 and close at 7 o’clock. There will be hot coffee, home made cakes of all kinds. The money will be used for the benefit of the church. To Sail Chicken Barbecue It is announced that the Pente costal Holiness church on Jackson street will sponsor a sale of chick en barbecue at 11 o’clock on Sat urday at Greasy Corner.
