CHURCH NOW UNDER CONSTRUCTION
The above is the architect’s drawing of the new Lydia Mills Presby
terian church now under construction on Pine street in the village. The
contract, awarded to W. E. Baker Si Son of Whitmire, calls for the com
pletion of the project in 180 days. The building will cost in excess of
$50,000. Roy E. Hitchcock, of this city, is architect.

ple of the community met at the

urday night from 8 to 10 o’clock.
League Party Enjoyed
Friday evening, March 14, ’the
Epworth League of Bailey Memo

building for a farewell party in
honor of Wayne Saville, who re
turned to service Saturday. After
a period of active games all en
joyed refreshments served buffet
