C., after a visit with her sister, Mrs. D. A. Yarborough, and Mr. Yarborough. Mrs. E. B. Sloan spent the week end with her son and daughter- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Sloan, and attended the annual banquet and breakfast of the South Caro lina Press association. Friends of Marion Nabors will be interested to know he has re covered after an operation illness and is able to be out again. Lt. and Mrs. Brooks Copeland and small daughter, Mary Lynn, of Fredericksburg, Va., spent the 'week-end with the former’s moth er, Mrs. R. J. Copeland, who ac companied them home for a few days visit. Brewer Dixon, Sr., of Talladega, Ala., Spent a few days last week with Mrs. C, M. Bailey and family. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ferguson and sons are enjoying a vacation stay in St. Petersburg, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. Carol Reid and children of Columbia recently vis ited the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs.' H. F. Seott. Friends of Mrs. A. M. Young will be glad to know she is able to be out again after being ill last week. Mrs. Fuller Reese, Jr., and sons, Duck and Bob, of Elberton, Ga., spent the week-end with her moth er, Mrs. L. S. Henderson. Mrs. Norman Sloan and daugh ter, Debbie, have returned from a vacation trip and stay in Holly wood, Fla. They were accompan ied by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. J. Page and family. Dr. and Mrs. G. C. Nabors have returned to their home in Dallas, Texas, after a visit with the for mer’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Nabors and other relatives in Jo anna. Glancing out she saw no David and the parents began searching the premises fo# the child. Later one of the dogs Joe, arrived oa the back porch and aroused the fear that the lad was in the swamp.
