Effective this week automobile
license itenerary dates for Clinton
and Laurens will be: Clinton each
Thursday from 9 A. M. until 12
noon, and from -1 P. M. until 5
P. M. The itinery ipoint here will
be Giles Chevrolet company. For
merly licenses were sold here on
Friday.
The license itinerary date in
Laurens will be each* Wednesday
from 9 A. M. uhtil 12 noon, and
from 1 P. M. until 5 P. M. Itinerary
point will be the same—Randall
Chevrolet company. Formerly li
censes were sold in Laurens on
Tuesday.
This change comes through Lt.
R. P. McClellan who is command
ing officer of District 9 of South
.Carolina Highway Patrol. District
9 headquarters are located ( in
Greenwood. Laurens County was
irioved into Greenwood District
from Greenville District recently.

Argentina Missionary
To Speak Sunday
At Joanna Church
On Sunday, February 10, at the
11 o’clock worship hour, Rev... J.
Ollin Watson, missidnary to Argen
tina, will bring the message to the
Joanna Baptist church.
Mr. Watson is a native of Geor
gia and has held pastorates in Geor
gia, South Carolina and Kentucky.
He is a former pastor Calory Bap
tist church of this city, and served
as a chaplain with the army dur
ing World War II. He was gradu
ated from Southern Baptist Theo
logical seminary in Louisville, Ky„
in 1950, and attended the language
school in Costa Rica for 15 months,
having returned with his family in
December. He and his family will
sail for Argentina on February 21.
The pastor, Rev. James B. Mitch
ell, extends a cordial invitation to
the public to hear Mr. Watson.

RECIPE OF THE WEEK
Pork in a Nest
(Serves 4)
. 4 pork hocks
1 tablespoon salt
1 bay leaf
1 cup celery leaves, coarselv
cut
1 medium head of cabbage
Welsh pork hocks, cover with
water. Add salt, bay leaf and cel
ery leaves. Heat to boiling and then
simmer for 1 Vi to 2 hours or until
meat is tender. Cut cabbage into
coarse shreds; add to pork. To
serve, put pork hocks in center of
round platter and circle with cab
bage.
