Mrs. H. M. Sellers, is serving with
the Air Force and is stationed at

Staff Sgt. Clyde M. Sellers of
Ellington Field, Houston, Texas, is
spending a 15 day leave with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Sell
ers.
Mrs. Clala Smith and daughter,
Mrs. Pauline Mathews have an
apartment with Mrs. J. L. Wright
on Centennial street. Mrs. Smith
formerly lived at Lydia with her
daughter, Mrs. Grange Chumley

tist church on Tuesday night of
last week.
After the meeting a social hour
was enjoyed and refreshments

Club 16 Meets Tuesday
Club 16 will meet in the home
of Mrs. David Word on Tuesday
night at 7:00 o’clock. This, will be
the regular meeting, but husbands
are invited to come to supper and
a social hour will be given.
Hobby Club Meets
The Hobby club met at the com
munity center Monday night and
new projects were selected. The
class in rug hooking is growing
and much interest is shown. Wool
en scraps are dyed and hoked in
to beautiful shades of chosen col
ors. Next Monday night the class
will study dying. Bring your scraps
and the colors of dye you would
like to use. Spot dying will also
be made. If you are interested in
other crafts you are invited to be
present as two new projects will
be given.
Making Memory Books
The Camp Fire Groups are very
busy making their yearly memory
books. Symbols are studied and
painted on the covers. Individual
symbols will be used in colors also.
Both the Wahankas and the Aowa-
kiyas were together Thursday af
ternoon for their folk dancing
class, and the singing of several
songs.
Club To Give Play
The Lydia Woman’s club is in
the midst of learning parts, to bei
given, when they produce “The
Old Maids Club” aL the school-
house on Saturday night, Feb. 16.
Proceeds will go to help purchase
a new curtain for the school audi
torium. The public is cordially in
vited. _
Dancing School Meets
The school of dance, sponsored
by the Kindergarten Mothers club,
and taught by Bruce Heist, of
Greenville, meets each Wednesday
afternoon at 3:00 o’clock.
