Episcopal Mission
Observes Communion
A holy communion service will be
held by AlDSaints'Episcopal mission
on Sunday morning, Feb. 3, at the
regular worship hour, 8:30, at St.
John’s Lutheran church. Rev. Edwin
B. Clippard, of Newberry, rector,
will conduct the service. Communion
is observed the first Sunday of each
month.

The flag was designed by Colonel William Moultrie and was
adopted in 1777. In 1775 Colonel Moultrie was defending a
fort on an island near Charleston. His men wore blue uniforms
with silver crescents decorating their blue caps. He designed the
flag as a compliment to them. The State Tree is the Palmetto.
