Baptist Youth Meet
Immediately following the eve
ning worship service Sunday the
Youth Fellowship of the Baptist
church enjoyed a social hour at the
home of Miss Gail Morse. The
28 young people enjoyed assorted
butter rolls, hot chocolate and cof
fee for refreshments.
W. S. C. S. Will Meet
The Woman’s Society of Chris
tian Service of Epw’onth church
will hold its February meeting on
the 5th at. the church at 7 o’clock.
The program will be presented
by Mrs. Rudolph Prater.
During the social hour Mrs. L. J.
Brock, Mrs. James Simpson and
Mrs. Homer Jacks will be hostesses.
Society Visits County Home
On last Tuesday night nine mem
bers of the Baptist Missionary So-
city visited the county home. The
movie projector was carried along
and slides from ’‘The Prodigal Son”
and “The Life of Christ” were
shown. The program consisted of
unison reading, songs and paryer.
The society showered the residents
with bed linens, towels, handker-
chiefs, quilts^ spreads and a radio.

Saturday afternoon Linda Barron
and twenty invited guests celebrat
ed her eighth birthday. The guests
joined Linda in opening her gifts
at her home and then all went to
the movies. Following this the
children enjoyed outdoor games at
the club house. The birthday cake
in pink and green on white with
pink burning candles was used as
the centerpiece on the* white cov
ered table. Mrs. Allen Barron,
Linda’s mother, served ice cream,
cake and drinks.
