Garden club will be held Monday
afternoon, January 28, at 4 o’clcok

Bridge-Club Meets
With Mrs. Jacobs
Mrs. William P. Jacobs was
hostess to- members of her bridge
club on Thursday for a number of
afternoon games.
Two tables were in play with
Mrs. J. F. Jacobs winning the score
prize. When cards were laid aside
Mrs. Jacobs was assisted by, Mrs.
E. H. Hall in serving a salad course.
The card rooms were attractive
with sprays of quince and jasmine
artistically arranged.
Mrs. McMillan
Entertains Friends
Mrs. Billy McMillan entertained
guests for three tables of bridge
on Friday afternoon at her home on
East Carolina avenue.

Youth Rally At
Thomwell Memorial
An interdenominational Youth
Rally will be held on Sunday eve
ning, February 3, at 6:15 in the
Thornwell Memorial chapel.
A program entitled “The Call,”
is being presented for the young
people, the adult advisers and min
isters from Clinton and Lydia. A
film, “The Accused,” will also be
shown.
