Silently then the darkness stalked out thru the hills.
Silently still dawn steps across the village roofs
find stands patiently in the street, idly touching windows,
glancing at the church spire, seeking the snow softness,
Waiting. T)awn, waiting with the Star fading in her fingers.
Then a stir. Jl whisper. /} thrilled and muted cry:
"Gome! Some! Let us hurry to see..."
Tlow the small movements. Swift, gusty movements,
Yielding at last to a stillness, rapt, wondering, brief as a breath,
Before the glad lllernj Christmas and Merry,
Merry Christmasr
The Magi have come to the village
Lind He is attending in the hearts of the village
On Ghristmas Morning.
