Christmas Party Held
The annual Christmas party of
the Bailey Memorial Women’s
Missionary Society was held Mon
day evening at the home of Mrs.
Joe Terry.
After a turkey diriner served by
the hostess, all joined in singing
“There’s a Song in the Air.” Fol
lowing the reading of the Christ
mas story as recorded in Luke 2,
and a paryer by Mrs. David Word,
Mrs. W. R. Terry, Jr., wife of the
pastor, gave a brief talk on the sub
ject, “If Christ Had Not Come.”
There was a short busines ses
sion after which the evening was
climaxed by the distrbiuiton of Big
Sister gifts by Myra and Kathy
Snelgrove. Exciting were these
moments for it was then that each
learned who had been her Big Sis
ter for the past year. Big Sister
names were drawn for the coming
year.
The meeting was concluded by
all singing “Silent Night,” accom
panied by Miss Marie Weir at the
piano. Mrs. Hugh Cunningham
was a guest for the evening.
