On Monday evening, December
10, beginning at 7:30, “Mobiliza

ciation will be held Hunt Mem
orial Baptist church in Newberry.
This meeting is held in cooperation
with Baptists throughout the
Southern Baptist convention to
promote plans in Training Unions
in 1952. Lester Bates, vice-presi-*'
dent of the Baptist State conven
tion, and president of the Capital
Life and Health Insurance Com

speaker. Special music will be
rendered by the Capital Life quar

you set the_table. Some table linens
require tr^litle extra care, but they
repay you in their beauty and in
creased service.. - *
Most linens do not require spe
cial stain removal before launder
ing, especially if you can use a
chlorine bleach on them. This is
best placed in the suds, so it works
on the linens while washing takes
place.
Soil removal is more certain if
you let table linens soak for 20
minutes in clear, cool or lukewarm
water before laundering. Plan to
wash linens separately from other
items so that they do not acquire
fuzz from them.
Second launderings are advis
able if the first one has not re
moved heavy grease stains. Always
rinse three times in lukewarm
water, or more often until the odor
of the bleach disappears.
Light starch may be used to give
gloss, but stiff finishes on linens
are not desirable. Bluing, too,' is
unnecessary if laundering methods
are proper. When used, bluing
should be distributed thoroughly
to prevent streaking.
Dry, hot air destroys the crisp
ness of Irish linen. Dry in sunshine,
1 but whenever possible, have temp
eratures as close to 70 degrees as
stuffing and should be packed into
bird loosely.
