Support Price For Corn Given Clem son, Nov. 5.—The price sup port rate for the 1*51 crop of South I Carolina white or yellow com is $1.73 per bushel for com grading Number 3 or better, according to in formation received by the Clemson Extension Service. A two cents-per-bushel discount is applied to mixed com. This com pares with $1.21 per bushel for the 1*50 crop. There is a defnite connection be tween heavy marketings of crops and low prices during and imme diately after harvesting. TVie pur pose of price supports is to help farmers stabilize prices by market ing their crops in an orderly man ner. More land is planted to com in this state than any other group. Crop estimates released October 1 show a planting of 1,374,000 acres of com with an indicated yield of 19 bushels per acre or a total production of slightly more than 26,000,000 bush els. Due primarily to dry weather the estimated yield is off four bush els per acre from last year. -Ml s: OUTDOOR ACCIDENTS happen frequently during vacation months and they can be very expensive in terms of doctor and hos pital bills.
