Next Sunday, Nov. 1, will be the
closing day of the annual confer
ence of the Southern Methodist
church in South Carolina, conven
ing in Maple Street church in Co
lumbia. Rev. John H. Holland will
be in attendance at the conference.
Rev. Paul B. Elmore of Waterloo,
a student at Presbyterian college,
will supply the pulpit and the
membership of the church and oth
ers are invited to hear him at 11
o’clock.

At the recent conference W. R.
Thomas was elected as lay delegate
to the annual conference conven
ing in Columbia on Thursday, of
this week, Nov. 1. The pastor and
lay delegate will convey to confer-
ference the best financial report in
three years, they stated.
