Dream Trip*
I've had several dream trips. Bill
Camp gave them to me to see and
study irrigation.

The Laurens County Education
association held its first meeting of
, the current school year last Thurs
day afternoon in the Laurens* high
j school auditorium. During a social
hour teachers served sandwiches,
cookies and mint punch at the reg
istration tables in the front hall.
The principal feature of the pro
gram was a skit, “Know Your Lo
cal, State and National Education
Associations.” Originally written
and produced by the Tamassee
Workshop group, the skit consisted
of three scenes in which twenty-
five county teachers participated.
Mrs. Nene D. Workman, mem
ber of the Clinton schools faculty,
and delegate to NEA from Laurens
county, made a report of the con
vention in San Francisco last sum
mer.
In the absence of C. K. Wright,
! chairman of the SCEA committee
on salary adjustment. Miss Ruth
Riddle, presiding officer, spoke
briefly of the proposed salary sche
dule and urged teachers to attend
the district meeting to be held in
Spartanburg October 23, at which
time Mr. Wright will explain the
schedule submitted by his com
mittee.
