Holds Meeting
The September meeting of the
Wadsworth Home Demonstration
club was held at the home of Mrs.
Carol Devore, with Mrs. Claude
Monroe as joint hostess.
Miss Carrie Bell Workman con
ducted the devotional, followed by
the roll call and reading of the
minutes by Mrs. Hayne Bell Work
man. Mrs. Downes Monroe presided
over the business session. Mrs.
Susan Mahon gave an interesting
talk on “Foundation Planting for
Rural Homes.” After the meeting,
the group enjoyed a social hour.
Heading the list winning blue,
red, and w'hite ribbons at the
County Fair was Mrs. Dow Bedtn-
baugh. Mrs. Charles Workman won
red on her orange chiffon cake and
Mrs. George Brown, blue on angel
food cake.

In Washington Rites
Miss Pansy Woodruff, of this city
and Washington, D. C., became the
bride of Edward A. Alwine of York,
Pa., and Washington, in a quiet cere
mony taking place Saturday, Sep
tember 29. The rites were performed
at Francis Asbury Methodist church
in Washington by the Rev. Charles
B. Philips.
The bride wore a navy suit with
powder blue blouse and accessories
of natural reptile. Her flowers were
a corsage of red roses.*
Immediately following the cere
mony the couple left for a wedding
trip to Ohio. Upon their return they
