its sixth season, six counties gates,
October 8 on Piedmont Interstate
Fairgrotinds at Spartanburg.
The fair, as rewards to winners
in its annual Livestock Fitting and
Showing contest, will award one
trip to the boy or girl winning in
each of these counties: Spartan
burg. Union. Laurens, Cherokee,
Polk and Rutherford.
Laurens County, therefore, is as
sured a winner if its 4-H Future
Farmer member# will “get in there
and pitch.’' Fair President Paul
Black, said.
“We hope they will; we’d be de
lighted to have a winner from the
county.”
Laurens young musicians are al
so urged to compete in the Pied
mont Parade of Marching Bands,
another 1951 Piedmont Intersate
Fair feature.
