Free Trip Offered County 4-H Member To Chicago Show Laurens County 4-H club and Future Farmer boys and girls again this year will be invited to send one of their number on a free all expense paid , trip to their choice of the two great international live stock shows, the National Live stock Show in Chicago, or the American Royal in Kansas City, courtesy of the PiedYnont Interstate Fair association which will open its sixth season, six counties gates, October 8 on Piedmont Interstate Fairgrotinds at Spartanburg. The fair, as rewards to winners in its annual Livestock Fitting and Showing contest, will award one trip to the boy or girl winning in each of these counties: Spartan burg. Union. Laurens, Cherokee, Polk and Rutherford. Laurens County, therefore, is as sured a winner if its 4-H Future Farmer member# will “get in there and pitch.’' Fair President Paul Black, said. “We hope they will; we’d be de lighted to have a winner from the county.” Laurens young musicians are al so urged to compete in the Pied mont Parade of Marching Bands, another 1951 Piedmont Intersate Fair feature.
