Williams, of the Hopewell com-, munity, aigl Collis Huntington Bonds, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bonds of Lowndes ville, were mar-, ried Monday afternoon, August 20, at the home of the bnde’s parents at 4:30 o’clock. The Rev. James E. Kinard officiated, using the dou ble-ring ceremony. The vows were spoken before an arrangement of white gladioli and lighted candles on the mantel, with pedestal baskets of whtie asters and gladioli on either side with trailing English ivy on the white background. The bride’s only attendant was her sister. Miss Ann Williams, who wore a light blue organdy dress over blue satin, and carried a nose gay of pink carnations. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white organdy dress, made with deep lace yoke, over white satin, and white asters in her hair. The bridal bouquet was of white carnations centered with a purple-throated, gold or chid. For traveling the bride wore a wine crepe dress with grey ac cessories, and used her orchid from her bouquet as a corsage. Mrs. Bonds is a B. A. Winthrop college graduate, and is a member of the Woodruff high school fac ulty. Mr. Bonds, a B. A. graduate of Furman University, received his Master’s degree at the University; of North Carolina. For the past' few years he has been principal of the Westside grammar school,' Woodruff. Upon return from their wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Bonds will reside at the Brockman apartments in Woodruff.
