Bruce is the Ted Williams of Lit
tle League ball. Thus far he has
made many old-timers open their
eyes and take notice of his hitting
ability. Much of the success of the
team is on Bruce’s shoulders' and
we rest assured he will live up to
expectations.
The Midgets begin district play
this week. They are approaching
this ''series with Charleston their
goal. Three boys that can spell the
difference are Troy Whitfield,
George Taylor and Kenneth
Thompson. These boys are from
Lydia Mills and were the spark-
plugs of the Lydia Mills Midgets.
Troy is one of the pitchers and if he
performs as he has in the past,
there will be no worry with that
department.
George and Kenneth are out
fielders and their bats have been
booming. They have dominated
the hitting department to date.
With these boys supplying the
runch we know they will reach the
finals.
