C., Thursday, July 26, 1951 Number 31 PERSONAL AND SOCIAL NEWS OF JOANNA MBS CECIL O’DELL, Correspondent and Representative Capt and Mrs. Hal Davis and son, Harry, of Columbia, were week-end guests of Rev. and Mrs. Joe Giles. Those attending the WSCS zone meeting of Greenwood district in Waterloo last Thursday were Mes- dames Joe Giles, J. M. Ross, La- vinia Cooley, Pat Bowers, J. L. Ab- brams and J. J. Abrams. Mrs. Cecil Bishop was called to Gatlinburg, Tenn., Monday due to the death of her sister. Mr. Bish op and boys joined her Tuesday for the funeral which was held Wed nesday.*’ The community extends deepest sympathy to Mrs. Bishop. SR Richard Lee Motes of San Diego, Calif., son of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Motes, is spending a leave with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Philip Duckett and children^ of Marietta, are spending several weeks with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Holson- Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Gentry and Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Gentry of North Carolina, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Crouch. Messrs. Boyd and Robert Gaskin of Clinton, were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. John Gaskin. Mr$. Cecil O’Dell, Jeff and Su zanne attended the family gather ing of Mrs. O’Dell’s, parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. The bride was gowned in a white summer dress with white accessor ies. Her shoulder corsage was of pink rosebuds.
