L. W. Ivey and family visited Sgt.
and Mrs. Charlie Robertson at Fort
Jackson where Sgt. Robertson is a
patient at the base hospital.

Melody Clnb Meets Tonight
The Melody club will meet to
night ^Thursday) at 7:30 o’clock at
the community house.
Woman's Society Meeting
The Bailey Memorial church
Woman’s society met Tuesday eve
ning at the community house for
its March meeting with Mrs. Mur
ray Adams as hostess.
The meeting was called to order
1 by the president by singing the
hymn, “Trust and Obey.”
The devotional, given by Mrs
Betty Snelgrove, was taken from
the 24th and 25h chapters of Luke.
Prayer was offered by Mrs. John
Holland. An interesting story was
given by Mrs. Ruth Quinton, “The
First Etaser.”
The minutes of the last meeting
were read and approved. The roll
was called with each one responding
with a Bible verse.
The lesson of the evening was on
“Stewardship of Talent,” given by
Mrs. Ruby Lawson, which was very
inspiring. The business was dis
cussed with one new member added
to the roll. The junior missionary
group were the guests of the evening
and assisted in serving refreshments.
The meeting adjourned with pray
er The April meeting will be held
at the home of Mrs. Elloree Cun
ningham.
