Mr. Hoag's aunt, Mrs. M. O. Hitt.
Mrs. Hitt is also related to Mrs.
Marian Hamm. She made many
friends in Joanna during her visits
here who will deeply regret to hear
of her passing.

Class To Meet
The Ever-Ready Sunday school
class of Epworth church will hold
its quarterly business meeting Tues
day, March 13, at 7 o’clock in the
assembly room of the church.

Birthday Surprise
Mrs. L. H. Poag was pleasantly
surprised last Tuesday evening with
a birthday dinner at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Ed Osborne.

Young Woman’s Banquet
On Friday evening March 2, 75
young women from 7 churches in the
Reedy River Association gathered at
the Joanna club for their annual
Young Woman’s Auxiliary banquet.
The theme was "Sailing With
Christ—the Master Pilot.” Mrs. Alex
Crawford of Joanna, associationat
