after being ill the past week.
Youth Rally at Pentecostal Church
There will a youth rally at the
Pentecostal Holiness church Saturday
night, January 27. The public is
cordially invited to attend.

Church of God Holds Revival
The revival meeting of the Church
of God will continue through the
week with Rev. J. M. Baird in
charge. The public is invited to at
tend.
Foster-Murphy Wedding
The wedding of Miss Myrtle Mur
phy and J. C. Foster was solemnized
Friday afternoon at the Church of
God on Elizabeth street. Rev. J. P.
Cole conducted the ceremony.
The bride was dressed in a pink
suit with navy blue accessories and
wore a corsage of red carnations.

the coming year a new curtain for

and also fix up the grounds of the

The club’s yearbook was discussed
and planned. A Valentine party was
planned for the next meeting, Feb
13. Everyone is asked to bring Val
entines and drop them in the box.

Quarterly Conference January 28
The first quarterly conference for

January 28 at the church.
At this time written reports from
ail the organizations will be given. A

church is expected to attend. A cov

Men's Brotherhood Organized
The first meeting of the Men’s,
Brotherhood of Bailey Memorial
church was held in the basement of |
the church Saturday evening. Offi
cers were elected for the coming
year and it was decided to meet the
first Saturday evening of each month
at the church.

The Woman’s club held its first
meeting of the new year Thursday
at the community house.
The meeting was called to order by
the president, Mrs. Alice Lowe. Roll
call and the minutes were read by
the secretary. Mrs. Helen Pitts gave
an interesting talk on “A Man With
out a Leader” as the scripture. The
